African Evenings in Pen 2016

and  BURUNDI and tasted camel, kingklip, hibiscus jelly, green plantains, brandy fired pork, akara quesadillas

 maffay and a whole host of other delightful treats. (Planning to put some recipes up @ in the new year)

I want to thank you for your daring and your support, because I realise that as much as I enjoyed the research and consequent translation into seriously good food, if you my customers did not come out and dare to try some new things then it would have all been in vain. 

So please help me to keep the excitement going and the African fires burning in N. Wales, by spreading the word to your friends, family… Don’t keep such a good thing 

At the last African Evening in Pen we had a group of visitors who we will not name at this time, who loved not only the food but raved about the great atmosphere. (They were such a noisy bunch!), but we loved the energy they added to the evening, so please join with Sara, Nate and Bernie and help spread the word in 2017 of a great night out with great food, atmosphere and fun. 

There is still more of African to taste, and loads more brain space where I can translate the different tastes.

In the New Year a bottle of Nigerian Palm Drink awaits any booking of 5 or more people.

Here are dates for the first quarter of the New Year for you to get into your new diaries, they may be subject to change if they clash with any big world events, but we will keep you posted.

Finally, we are partnering with CEFN to donate some of the proceeds from our evenings to feeding displaced refugees in Calais and other places, and will take bookings for themed evenings @
